Regattas - Frostbite / Head of the Lake (Seattle, WA)

Head each year over the Veteran's Day Weekend in Seattle, these two regattas are the official end to the Fall Season. Frostbite is held at Green Lake, and is 1000m racecourse. Head of the Lake is a 5500m head race that runs from downtown Seattle to the University of Washington. This is one of the nost "spectator friendly" races we attend, as parents are able to stand in 'The Cut" and watch crews racing by only 20 feet away. As well as offering a great racing venue, athletes and parents are able to tour the University of Washington campus and surrounding area.

  • Due to the race format, equipment limitations mean only Club Development crews will be invited.
  • Leave Friday evening, return Sunday evening.
  • Trailer: loading Thursday evening, unloading Monday
  • Junior Athletes/Chaperones stay at a local hotel. Contact Regatta Cordinator for more details.
  • Masters are responisble for their own accomodations.
