The Spring Rowing Season is the major competitive season. All athletes train and race as part of the Deep Cove Rowing Club Junior Program. The training schedules will be determined during the sessions held the first week of practice. Selection of crews is based on in-boat performance, ergometer testing, seat racing, technical proficiency, crew compatibility, coach-ability and attendance. The emphasis during this season is on preparing to race and being competitive at regattas. We also want everyone of have fun, develop their rowing technique, and learn other valuable life skills.
